Summer is gone. And well, before you know it, ‘Sleigh Bells Ring’ will be ‘glistening’ in the background at your local supermarket. For me, the single worst thing about the holidays is the shopping. The noise and bustle; the twinkling lights; the smell of food and the decorations all add to the beauty and ‘feel’ of the holidays. Shopping however, attaches a sort of ‘chore,’ something that has to be gotten over with.
That’s why I’m planning to do a lot of my shopping online this year. Instead of doing the hard work of crawling blindly around in cyberspace, I’ll visit a comprehensive site like ShopWiki (listings in several countries) that does all the work for me and lists all available shops, already in neat little groups. My father-in-law loves books and music. My husband never has enough office equipment. The kids on the other hand, want everything in sight. Goodbye trawling shops in the freezing cold. Goodbye standing in line trying to pay for items I’m not even sure the kids would appreciate. Internet shopping, here I come! Make way!
A description of, and excerpts from the memoir 'Sunday's Child'. This is the inspiring, true tale of a little girl struggling to rise above appalling living conditions, poverty, violence and abuse. You'll also find other, more general stuff about books, writing, magazines, blogging and the news.
Blurb
In a crisis torn, South American country, only little Ann's faith, her determination, and one young woman could help keep her dreams of escape alive.

I like shopwiki!
I'm thining of purchasing gift cards and letting everyone buy what they need as it seems there are so many things kids are doing without today because of the times.

Shopping can add a daunting task to the already hectic holiday season. Thanks for the fabulous site. I will have to check it out!
Thanks for the visit, girls.
@Icy, I noticed that you once blogged about shop wiki. I had you in my thoughts when I posted this.
@Dorothy, that's a great idea. It means that you skip the frustration of having to go into different stores to shop. You can buy all your cards from one place.
@Judy, Hope you can pick up something great.

@ KTSG, It is tempting, isn't it? As bloggers/writers we spend so much time with our computers anyway. Why not shop on it too?
